Controversial cleric Chukwuemeka Ohanaemere, widely known as Odumeje, has declared to run for the presidency.
He emphasised the importance of having a young, tech-savvy leader to advance the nation.
Odumeje shared his intention in a sermon on Sunday, a video of which has since gone viral on social media.
Odumeje in his statement has yet to reveal the political party he intends to run with in the upcoming elections.
He expressed his ambition to bring modern innovations and a digital way of life to Nigeria, even promising to construct a significant roadway that he intends to call "Citadel."
Odumeje said, “We need a young leader in this country, and I think I am coming out. We need a young leader as a president, a digital leader, not old cargoes. I think I will come out, I will come out for president.
“Are you ready for me? Odumeje for president? Are you ready for me? Because I know what you need. I know what you want.
“I want to construct a main road called Citadel for you. I want to give you a modern life, a digital life.”
