I’m done being nice, people I call friends abused my nice attitude — Nedu

Nigerian radio personality, and comedian, Chinedu Emmanuel, popularly known as Nedu Wazobia, has addressed recent online allegations, stating that he is done being nice to people.

Nedu had recently resigned from ‘The honest bunch podcast’, citing a need to prioritise his wellness.

Nedu explained that his role on the podcast was to initiate thought-provoking discussions and spark controversies, which he accomplished.

Expressing disappointment and pain, Nedu said, "My nice attitude had been abused by the same people i took as friends."

In a video shared on X on Thursday, Nedu further advised his friends to delete his numbers if they still have it, noting that he will no longer be reachable or accessible.

Nedu said, “Rather than engaging in petty fights, I have decided to clear the air by stepping away from the show. My role on the podcast is to make guests feel comfortable while encouraging thought-provoking discussions. My job was to ask questions that would spark controversies and debates, which I successfully accomplished.

“To be honest, I’m done being nice. My niceness has been taken for granted, and I’ve been abused by people who claim to be my friends. I’m tired of being used and taken advantage of. I respectfully ask that if you have my number, please delete it.

"I don’t want to be reachable or accessible anymore. I need to take care of myself and prioritise my well-being.

"The nice part of Nedu is dead and buried. I’m no longer going to be a nice guy.”

The controversy started after an episode of the Honest Bunch featuring a former Big Brother Naija contestant, Aderombi Martin, aka Deeone, went viral.

During the conversation, Deeone alleged that social media personality, Vincent Otse, also known as VeryDarkMan, was involved in same-sex relationships, and receiving money for sexual favours.
