The National Emergency Management Agency (NEMA) in collaboration with the International Organisation for Migration (IOM), and the National Refugee Commission has welcomed 180 Nigerians repatriated from Niger Republic.
The returnees, which included 40 female adults, 86 male adults, 25 male children, and 29 female children, have arrived Malam Aminu Kano International Airport.
NEMA disclosed this in a post shared on its X handle on Wednesday.
The post read, "The National Emergency Management Agency (NEMA) in Kano, in collaboration with the International Organisation for Migration (IOM) and the National Refugee Commission, facilitated the reception of 180 Nigerians repatriated from Niger Republic.
"The returnees arrived at Malam Aminu Kano International Airport at 11:28 AM, where they were welcomed and received by NEMA and other key stakeholders. They included 40 female adults, 86 male adults, 25 male children, and 29 female children.
"The repatriation process was successfully conducted without any incidents, ensuring a smooth and orderly exercise."
