Former United States President, Donald Trump, along with his sons and several entrepreneurs, has launched a new cryptocurrency platform named World Liberty Financial.
The platform, introduced via an online stream, will feature digital "tokens" that enable users to engage in decision-making processes related to the platform's operations.
This launch comes amid reports of an alleged assassination attempt on Trump at his golf club in West Palm Beach, Florida, the day before.
World Liberty Financial will utilize decentralized finance technology, allowing users to conduct transactions directly with one another, bypassing traditional financial intermediaries such as banks.
This feature mirrors existing functionalities on platforms like Aave. Donald Trump Jr. described the new platform as a potential "financial revolution" during a broadcast on X, formerly known as Twitter.
