Popular American rapper Dwayne Michael Carter Jr, well-known as Lil Wayne has expressed his frustration and sadness after learning that he was not chosen to headline the 2025 Super Bowl halftime show.

In a video making the rounds on social media, Wayne Wayne admitted that he believed he was at fault for not mentally preparing himself for the letdown.

He expressed that headlining the show in his hometown of New Orleans would have been a significant honour, referring to it as a “dream stage.”

Lil Wayne said, “That hurt a lot. I blame myself for not being mentally prepared for a letdown.

"I thought there was nothing better than that stage in my city… It broke me and I’m just trying to put me back together."
