Force PRO Adejobi condemns Officers' assault in viral video


The Force Public Relations Officer, ACP Olumuyiwa Adejobi, has condemned the physical assault of a yet-to-be-identified man by some police officers.


In the viral video, the man was assaulted by policemen.


Adejobi condemned the actions of those officers on X.com on Monday.


The video which has been making the rounds on social media on Tuesday, showed police officers beating a man with sticks and their bare hands on Jogunosimi Street, Alausa area of Lagos State.


An X user known as PIDCOM on X.com shared the video with the caption, "Police #PoliceNG officers from the Lagos State police command were caught on camera assaulting an innocent man around Jogunosimi street, in Alausa Lagos this afternoon.


"Sadly, the brutality and lawlessness has taken another dimension. 😭😭 #BenHundeyin #Princemoye1"


Reacting to the assault video, Adejobi wrote, "This is not acceptable. The matter has been referred to Lagos Command for investigation.


"The PPRO logos, #BenHundeyin, has been directed to address the matter and update the public on the facts of the case. Thanks. #BenHundeyin, #PoliceNG, #LagosPoliceNG."
