Celine Dion performs at 2024 Paris Olympics with health challenge

Popular Canadian singer, Celine Dion, performed at the opening ceremony of the 2024 Olympics in Paris on Friday.

This marked her first live performance in four years, following battle with Stiff Person Syndrome, a rare neurological disorder.

She delivered a powerful rendition of Edith Piaf’s timeless classic “Hymne à l’amour” (1950) at the iconic Eiffel Tower, bringing the ceremony to a close.

The 56-year-old singer reportedly charged a fee of $2 million for her performance.

This performance marked Dion’s second appearance at the Olympic Games, having previously performed “The Power of the Dream” at the 1996 Atlanta Olympics.
