Nollywood Actor, Olu Jacobs is still alive, Says Betty Irabor

A Nigerian columnist, Betty Irabor, has confirmed that Nollywood actor, Oludotun Jacobs, is still alive and well.

Irabor disclosed this in a message shared on her social media account on Sunday, contrary to rumours circulating online.

Irabor wrote, “Olu Jacob is well and alive.. please ignore all rumours of his passing. He is alive please."

Jacob's death rumours had before now circulated online, despite no official confirmation.

This wasn't the first time such false news about the seasoned actor had gone viral.

Recall in June 2020, a similar report spread on Twitter (now X) and Facebook.

The then spokesperson of the Actors Guild of Nigeria,

Monalisa Chinda-Coker, who was then the spokesperson of the Actors Guild of Nigeria, debunked the trended news.

In August 2022, the actor's wife, Joke, debunked a rumour that her husband was dead and threatened legal action against those spreading the fake news.
