Rwanda announces Visa-free travel for all African countries

President Paul Kagame of Rwanda on Thursday announced the removal of visa requirements for all African countries, becoming one of the African countries on the continent to take such a measure aimed at boosting free movement of people and tourism.

The announcement was made in the Rwandan capital, Kigali, where he said Africa is a potential destination for tourism.

This was made in a video shared on the official X handle of Africa Facts Zone on Thursday, November 3.

Kagame’s statement in the video read, “We have also removed visa restrictions for every African country, as well as many other countries.

“Any African can get on a plane to Rwanda whenever they wish and will not pay a thing to enter our country.

“We should not loss side of our own continental market, Africans are the future of global tourism as our middle class continues to grow at a fast space in the decades to come.

“We must work closely together with the partners like you, to continue developing Africa into a Premire destination for global travel”.
