Former Senate President, Dr. Bukola Saraki, has congratulated Bala Mohammed and the Peoples Democratic Party after he was affirmed by the Court of Appeal as Bauchi state governor on Friday.
The Independent National Electoral Commission declared Bala Mohammed of the Peoples Democratic Party, winner in the 2023 governorship election in Bauchi.
The former senate president sent his congratulatory message in a post shared on his verified X handle on Friday, November 17.
The panel of three justices was unanimous, awarding no cost as the court ruled that each party to the matter should bear their costs.
According to Saraki, the Appeal Court’s judgement is a triumph for democracy and the people of Bauchi State.
His post read, “The Appeal Court’s judgement upholding the election of my dear brother and friend, Senator Bala Mohammed, as the duly elected Governor of Bauchi is a triumph for democracy and the people of Bauchi State.
“I congratulate my dear brother, and our great party on this victory!”.
