A video has been making the rounds on social media showing how some men of the Nigeria Police pouring water and teargasing the Rivers State Governor, Sim Fubara while making his way to the State House of Assembly Complex on Monday.
In the video clip, Thewatch Africa could hear a voice shouting, “You are pouring water on the governor of River State water”.
Some group of people believed to be security opperatives tried to stop the governor from gaining access into the Rivers State House of Assembly complex.
The Rivers State House of Assembly was on Sunday night set ablaze over the alleged move to impeach the State Governor.
It was gathered that some suspected arsonists threw an explosive into the complex around 9:25pm, causing a fire in the building.
Imran Muhammad shared this in a post on his X handle.
He wrote, “Police pouring water and teargas on Governor of Rivers, Sim Fubara on his way to the State House of Assembly Complex”.
